Dr. Khaled Hassanein is a Professor of Information Systems, Associate Dean (Graduate Studies & Research), and Director of the McMaster Digital Transformation Research Centre at the DeGroote School of Business. His interdisciplinary research interests span the areas of digital transformation, e-Health; data analytics; human computer interaction; decision support systems and neuro-information systems. His research is supported through funding from federal (SSHRC, NSERC, CFI), provincial (ORDCF, ORF-MRI) and private sector sources. He has published over 125 peer-reviewed articles in leading conferences and journals including Management Information Systems Quarterly (MISQ), Information Systems Research (ISR), Nature Scientific Reports, Information & Management (I&M), Journal of Strategic Information Systems (JSIS), and Decision Support Systems (DSS) among others. To date these publications have resulted in over 5900 citations. Dr. Hassanein is a joint holder of several U.S. patents, a senior member of the IEEE, and a designated Professional Engineer in Ontario. He received an MASc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University.
